On June 1st, Synchrotones celebrates it’s first birthday. Over the last year Synchrotones has posted reviews, interviews and images.
Sometimes these went accompanied with hyperlinks.

We are celebrating this tremendous feat right here, right now with some words and pseudo-scientific stats.

Thank you all for embracing the site and for your repeat visits. Over the last year, Synchrotones has posted over 50 (fifty!) reviews, and that number will continue to climb over the next weeks and months. In fact, there will be several new reviews spread out over the next few days…

I got into film music nearly 25 years ago, after seeing (and hearing) Alan Silvestri’s “The Abyss”. I am over the moon that Varese Sarabande has now released a 2CD Deluxe Edition of that score; and my review of it is released today, June 1st at noon.

On June 2nd a review of Fernando Velazquez’s “The Adventurer: Curse of the Midas Box” will go live. Shortly thereafter there will be reviews of James Newton Howard’s “Maleficent” and Alexandre Desplat’s “Godzilla”; so stay tuned and follow @Synchrotones on Twitter to stay up to date.

Despite being published nearly 10 months ago, “Austenland” continues to receives visits nearly every day; with “Only You”, “Emmy the Great”, “Austenland”, “Comic Books” and “Lyrics” (and variations there upon) showing up in the Search Engine Terms almost daily.

Other remarkable Search Engine Terms include “what language does lisa gerrard sing” (her own made-up language), “errol flynn talks about ned kelly”, “carlos alazraqui and antonio sol love machine guitar” (…what?), “alan silvestry” (probably checking for spelling), “chim chim cheree lyrics” (think you got them right there…), “why didn’t klaus do the score for the second pirates movie” (yeah! why didn’t he?), “what movies is klaus badelt working on” (better off checking Klaus’ site to be honest…), “jeff rona assistant” (I wish!), and “i sing in the language of the heart. it is invented language that i’ve had for a long time. i believe i started singing it when i was about 12. i believe that i was speaking to god when i sang in that language. now i am filled with the holy ghost, that is the promise in the bible the church…” (wait, someone typed all that into a search engine? You should meet up with the dozens that are asking about her language!).
